Carter, Green on verge of making club

Though Chris Carter wasn't told he will be at Fenway for Opening Day on April 6, he is clearly on the verge of making the Red Sox as the backup first baseman/outfielder. Utility infielder Nick Green got the same good news, being told that he has a spot off the bench barring a trade or waiver pickup. (read full article)
